Installation Notes

Installation guide for PANICAL DS20200801-ET and DS20200801-GT Honda Gold Wing GL1800 Gen 2 Quick-Release Rider Backrests, compatible with 2018–2026 models.

This guide applies to both Gen 2 quick-release rider backrest versions. The backrest cushion shape and design vary by SKU, while the Gen 2 quick-release mounting structure and installation procedure remain the same.

Before installation, confirm the motorcycle model, model year, mounting position, and the supplied dual-spec mounting brackets.

Install the Gen 2 quick-release mounting structure according to the PDF instructions. Align the brackets and support components correctly before tightening all fasteners.

Make sure the quick-release locking structure is fully engaged and the hand-adjustment screw is securely installed before riding.

After installation, confirm that the backrest is securely mounted and properly adjusted.

Recheck all mounting hardware and the quick-release locking structure periodically during use.
